We have discovered a rather impressive bees nest in a bush near our house.  We would like to get rid of it (they had stung me several times before I reaised that there was a nest) but given the reported shortage of bees, we feel that it would be better to find a local beekeeper who could take it.  Any suggestions?

Try contacting the local York beekeeping association at and also see webpage for some local contact names and numbers.

Many thanks for that.  I'll buzz off and call them now (Sorry!)
