Elvington is lucky enough to benefit from the Mobile Library service. The Mobile Library provides a range of books for adults and children, including large print, audio books, fiction and non fiction.

You can expect many of the same services that you would find in our other libraries, such as community information and children's activities, for instance the Summer Reading Challenge.

You can return books from other York libraries to the Mobile Library and request books or toys from the toy library. You can also buy a York Card or have yours updated.

The Mobile Library visits every fortnight on Friday between 9.45 and 12.05 and parks at the following locations in the village:

Lorraine Avenue  9.45 -10.05

The Grey Horse 10.10 -10.40 (term time) 10.10 -11.15 (holidays)

Elvington School (term time only) 10.45 11.15

Lower Derwent SSC/Elvington Surgery 11.20 11.45

Elvington Park - 11.50 -12.05
